Studio Alternative to the Energy Drink

No question that recording is a long, difficult process, with sessions lasting sometimes 12 hours or more. The trend these days is engineers and musicians pounding Red Bull or Monster energy drinks several times a session to stay alert. So, being the alt guy I am, I came up with a quick solution of green tea and Yerba mate.

1) start with 1 Tablespoon, a healthy pinch of Stevia leaf and 12oz of water. Stevia leaf is amazing! Super sweet.

2. Shake and place in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

3. Strain tea and enjoy.

    Chamomile has been found to contain fairly strong antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory constituents. Therefore, it has been found to be effective in treating stomach and intestinal cramps. Simply prepare a cup of Chamomile tea following the directions on the package and drink it twice a day until while symptoms are present (one cup first thing in the morning, and one in the evening).

    Stevia is a shrub native to Paraguay and Brazil and has been used by the native Guarani Indians for over 1500 years. The Guarani’s used stevia as a natural herbal sweetener to sweeten their bitter drinks such as mate and for medicinal use to treat diabetes and hypertension. It nourishes the pancreas but does not raise normal blood glucose levels, making it safe for diabetics and hypergylcemics. Stevia lowers high blood pressure but does not affect normal blood pressure.:
